Wishing the best for a new harvest


I took some photos back in my local village for this years wassail. now if you do not know what that is then let me tell you :) if your from the city or even a town you may not be aware that these practices are still used by local farmers as a way to encourage the spirits to ensure that it will be a good harvest for the following season, this happens the 12 night after Christmas. it may sound silly to some but not only does this keep a tradition going that has been practiced for centuries. it also includes singing, drinking and all together brings the community together.





the weather didn't quiet hold out so we moved from the orchid in to the barn. It still was a fantastic evening with lots of the locals joining in. please enjoy some of the photos below
